Eliška Děcká

Eliška Děcká (*1982) is an animation historian, theorist and curator. She teaches as an Assistant Professor at the Animation Department of FAMU in Prague, where she also defended her PhD thesis focusing on contemporary animated authorship, gender issues and the social influences on animation and vice versa in 2017. She publishes in film and cultural journals and collaborates as a curator with various animation festivals. In 2015, she co-founded a non-profit organisation “AniScreen”, focusing on promoting independent artistic animation through site-specific screenings of animated shorts.
