Yiorgos Tsangaris

Yiorgos Tsangaris (*1976) is a graphic artist and the founder and artistic director of Animafest Cyprus, the country’s official international festival of animated film and one of its oldest film festivals, founded in 2002. He is the director of the Hambis Municipal Printmaking Museum in Nicosia. Over the past twenty years, as a graphic artist and film curator, he has collaborated on significant projects with film festivals, theatres and major cultural organisations in Cyprus and around the world. He has curated guest programmes and served as a jury member for numerous international animation festivals. He has just completed work on his first experimental animation film, “Rites of Spring”.
