Michal Procházka

Michal Procházka (1975) is a Czech animation producer, festival programmer and organizer. He has curated and promoted especially Czech animation programs at festivals around Europe – while also producing and developing various short and feature film animation projects (animation poem by Lucie Sunková on Aimé Cesaire). He founded the Visegrád Animation Forum (VAF) – a regional educational and promotional platform for the support of animation production – that is organized annually by professional associations from Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia, Hungary or Slovenia. Over the course of five years VAF grew into a major event presenting competition pitching of projects, films, local studios and talented professionals - with two of the best Eastern European TV series projects being automatically integrated with Cartoon Forum. He is currently living in Seoul, Korea, where he teaches animation periodically and project development at local universities (e. g. KARTS Seoul).
