The world that Boxhead and Roundhead inhabit is filled with dangerous creatures lurking about. The two have been inseparable since childhood and only leave the safety of their little house if necessary. Against all odds they manage to survive a deluge of attacks, only to witness their home smashed to pieces one day by a strange flying object labelled “Property of Tipp City”. One thing is absolutely clear for Boxhead: the culprit must be held accountable. In this case it happens to be a city far, far away. Stalked by countless monsters, the two embark on their arduous journey: over mountains, then through a desert that becomes a jungle overnight, and at last across an ocean. Blithely, Roundhead captures all their adventures on photos with his camera, and Boxhead contrives sensible plans for their future. Having finally arrived in the big city, however, they come upon horrifying living conditions: the people are sullen and the entire city has become polluted since the mysterious incidents in a factory. While Roundhead pursues his artistic career, Boxhead finds a job and unwittingly uncovers a dark secret. Since 2007 this odd couple has already toured all over the world in short film productions and music videos, invariably becoming the audience favourite. For his the first feature-length adventure film, the Australian Elliot Cowan takes up the conflict-ridden theme of nature versus industry again, a recurring leitmotif already seen in his earlier episodes. The music is just as important as the bizarre and whimsical world that Boxhead and Roundhead call their home: a magnificent soundtrack ranging from experimental sounds to irresistible rock songs await you here.
