Fantoche 2015: The winners!

The 13th International Animation Film Festival has been and gone. The largest animated film festival in Switzerland registered more than 25’000 entries to the different programme sections, attracting animated film fans from Switzerland and abroad. The varied programme with the themes «Focus on Poland», «Family Sweet & Sour» and the Velokino at Bahnhofplatz was aimed at both a broad public and industry insiders and generated a huge amount of interest.

At today’s prize ceremony, the three juries announced this year’s winners: Don Hertzfeldt’s «World of Tomorrow» (US 2015) was named «Best Film» in the international competition. In the Swiss competition, «Erlkönig» (CH 2015) from Georges Schwizgebel took the honours as the «Best Swiss» film. In the «Kids’ Competition», Carlos Lascano won the «Best Kids» award for his film «Lila». Next year’s festival will be held in Baden from 6 to 11 September 2016.
