Aletsch Negative

Aletsch Negative, Laurence Bonvin, CH 2019

It drips, crackles and snaps. The Aletsch is the largest and longest glacier in the Alps and it is melting. Images of this microcosm symbolise the problems of the macrocosm Earth. Subtle animations toy with the viewer’s perception of time and space and help us visualise the decline of perennial ice.
