Anna Henckel-Donnersmarck
Anna Henckel-Donnersmarck trained in classical filmmaking and now primarily creates video installations for stage productions, music performances and exhibitions. For 20 years, she has worked on selection committees and as a moderator for a variety of short film festivals as well as a jury member, panellist or speaker. Since 2019, she has been the director of Berlinale Shorts, the short film competition of the Berlinale. She studied at the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg in Ludwigsburg and teaches Film Theory and Video at various universities. After working in Indonesia, Japan, England, New York and Ludwigsburg, she now lives in Berlin.
