St. Petersburg, 1882: the 15-yearold aristocrat Sasha runs away to look for her grandfather, who has gone missing at the North Pole. Her stubborn streak sees her through a seafaring adventure surrounded by men. Even so, she isn’t always aware of the consequences her actions bring. Stylised imagery combine with breathtaking colours bring this story to life on the big screen.
