John Webber

I am a former animator for Walt Disney Feature Animation (1994-2004) where I worked on films such as “Mulan”, “Lilo and Stitch” and “Brother Bear”. I started working as an animation professor in March of 2008 for the Savannah College of Art and Design. I also have experience in co-owning my own animation company, “Project Firefly” from 2004-2007.

I am here to represent the animation department for the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD). Specifically, I am looking for potential partners for SCAD’s Collaborative Learning Center or CLC. The CLC is a “win-win” for everyone where professional partners (any industry) can team up with our best students through any of the 40 majors we have on campus in order to research innovative concepts, generate solutions for experiences, visualize products, or explore media and technology opportunities. We have had very successful relationships and are repeat customers for companies such as Google, Microsoft, NASA, Newell Rubbermaid, FOX Sports Media Group, Coca-Cola, and Hewlett-Packard to name a few. In my own classes, we have created animated, educational videos for clients such as the Shriners Hospitals for Children. I am also personally interested in uniting artists internationally through on-line collaboration.
