The Bigger Picture, Daisy Jacobs, GB 2014, 7’
Up to 40 he only thought about sex, says the elder of two brothers; now he only thinks about death. The mother of the two dissimilar men is in need of care; her infirmity goes beyond the domestic scope and opens up the view for a broader vision of things. The touching story is told with life-size figures and scenography.
Jury laudation: ”We were all very moved by our best film selection. This wonderfully innovative short film utilizes original use of multiple techniques to tell a clever, sensitive and upbeat tale of family disfunction and relationships. Through wittz dialogue, the story features a clever balance between drama, comedy and reality.”
