“We cannot speak other than by our paintings,” Vincent van Gogh wrote shortly before his death, and this was the film director’s credo. “Loving Vincent” tells the artist’s dramatic life story in his unmistakably recognizable style that still captivates many. The characters are played by live actors and by combining modern techniques with the painstakingly classic process of frame-by-frame oil painting, the artist’s universe comes to life.
