Artist present Swiss Animation - In Motion! Exhibition For a Young Audience

Swiss Animation - In Motion!

Au revoir Balthazar, Rafael Sommerhalder, CH 2016

Groupement Suisse du Film d’Animation GSFA is celebrating its 50th anniversary with a look behind the scenes of the Swiss animated film industry. The exhibition is a chance to get to know Swiss animated film-makers and their approach to the medium from the initial idea to the finished product. Examples from 25 animation film-makers from all over Switzerland demonstrate the various stages of the process – the first sketches and notes, the storyboards and research on different styles, the shooting script, models and puppets, and finally the finished works complete with soundtrack. The films can be viewed as part of the exhibition. During the exhibition, attendees will also have the opportunity to watch a few animators work on their current projects and talk about the process.
