The State Against Mandela and the Others

In 1964, Nelson Mandela and seven comrades were sentenced to life imprisonment in South Africa. Rediscovered audio recordings of their trial are combined with powerful charcoal animations and memories of those who survived to create a film that puts life during Apartheid under the microscope.
