The Swallows of Kabul

Kabul, summer 1998: painter Zunaira and teacher Mohsen live in Afghanistan’s capital, under Taliban control. Although the regime’s rules dictate every part of their lives and violence is commonplace, they still hope for a better future. That is, until one day an event changes their lives forever.
