3 Generations

3 Generations: Cinema, TV, Web

Fantoche goes on the trail of socialisation in film in our society: the cinema generation of the 1930s and 1940s, the TV generation of the 1960s and 1970s, and the internet generation from 1990 onwards have all been exposed to the medium of film in very different ways. The short film programme came about with the participation of these groups, with senior citizens, professionals and secondary school pupils responsible for selecting the material on show. At the same time, another programme of films selected by children from refugee families contradicts of western European preconceptions: although part of this society, they are coined in quite a different way.
