The Exhausted

Four soldier puppets walk in a squared space in a movement inspired by Samuel Beckett’s Quad (1981). By visually adapting Delueze’s ideas on Quad (The Exhausted, 1995), the film explores the concept of “exhausting the possible” within the time and space in stop-motion animation form. The puppets—and the printed images of the puppets—slowly disintegrate and the residue from the repetitions remains to become new possibilities.
