The Jungle Bunch

Les As de la Jungle

What do a penguin, clownfish, gorilla, bat, two poisonous frogs and a tarsier have in common? Exactly! Together they are the Jungle Bunch and take care of law and order in the jungle! Led by Maurice, a penguin that thinks he’s a tiger, the friends solve all the problems for the jungle creatures. There is a good reason that Maurice the penguin behaves more like a tiger: he was raised by a female tiger that once maintained order in the jungle with a group of animals just like him. But when Igor, the malicious koala, reduced the entire jungle to rubble, she gave up her job as the vigilante - it is thus no wonder that she now keeps a critical eye on the activities of her adopted son. But the Jungle Bunch is a well-practised team that has everything under control. Until one day the koala Igor, banned to an island, reappears. Armed with a diabolic plan, he engenders fear and terror in the jungle again. Will the Jungle Bunch be able to stop him and save the jungle from ruin? Maurice and his friends are more than challenged and in this case must rely on the help of experienced professionals.

The generous portion of wit in this family film makes it a genuine delight for young and old alike. It is based on the successful French television series “Les As de la Jungle” (honoured with an Emmy Award in 2014) and was produced as a CGI animated film. The filmmakers David Alaux, Eric Tosti and Jean-François Tosti fulfilled a long-cherished dream with their debut film for cinema. They serve up a vast array of enthralling characters and equip the animals with human traits. Regardless of whether it’s a kung-fu penguin, a very clever tarsier or a nasty koala – we can guarantee that no one has ever seen animals like this. (og)
