Persepolis

In the aftermath of the Iranian Revolution, Marjane, a young Iranian woman, comes to Vienna in the 1980s. At first, she makes the most of her new-found freedom, but then she becomes incredibly homesick. Finally, she builds a new life for herself in Paris. Cartoonist Marjane Satrapi released “Persepolis”, a humorous film adaptation of her own autobiography, in 2007.
