Wild Life

In the early years of the twenthieth century, tens of thousands of “gently bred” young Englishmen arrived in western Canada. Some came for adventure, while others were sent away by exasperated parents who hoped a rugged life would steel their sons into men. They brought with them good manners, cricket bats, and little knowledge of how to thrive in the harsh conditions of the new world. Wild Life is an animated portrait composed of small but vivid moments in the life of a young man who is dangerously out of context.
