Satoshi Kon – A Day in the Orient

If you want, you can spend the whole day in the Orient and watch all of Satoshi Kon‘s films one after the other: At 11:00 we start with the documentary “Satoshi Kon, l’Illusioniste” in the presence of the director Pascal-Alex Vincent, in which he invites various people to talk about their collaboration with the exceptional director Satoshi Kon and his specific and great illusionist style. We will also show the four feature-length films “Perfect Blue” at 13:15, “Millenium Actress” at 15:30, “Paprika” at 18:00 and “Tokyo Godfathers” at 20:30. 

For children aged 10 and over who enjoy crafting, we offer the workshop “Natur Pur” at the Festival Centre (Stanzerei), where characters are created from natural materials and brought to life through stop motion. The workshop will take place from 15:30 to 18:30 and is free of charge. 

If you missed the popular “Animated Music Video Darlings” on Thursday, you have one more chance to watch the latest animated music videos curated by the Fantoche team at 23:00 in Trafo 1 and then dance at the Royal.
