Illustrious guests at Fantoche 2016

Fantoche is looking forward to welcoming more than 200 filmmakers and animation experts in Baden. With their talks, their participation at the “Industry Day” and their presence at the “Artist Brunch” they make a essential contribution to the festival. Some of them will present their work to the Fantoche audiences. Claude Barras, Gregory Beaussart and Elie Chapuis, the makers of the opening film “Ma vie de Courgette” will give an impressive making-of presentation of their first feature film. Another making-of will be held by Mark Shapiro of LAIKA studios for “Kubo and the Two Strings”. He will demonstrate how 300,000 images form a stop-motion film. Kaspar Jancis will show his current work in the Coming Soon presentation of “Morton on the Ship of Fools”. The award winning Swiss filmmaker Sam Guillaume will explain about different animation techniques in a presentation for youths. And the outstanding animation greats Georges Schwizgebel and Konstantin Bronzit will attend their exclusive retrospectives. Other filmmakers will attend the Fantoche festival as jury members, workshop hosts or guests.
