For children and families, Saturday offers a colourful programme with charming features as well as the special screening «Kids for Kids». Additional highlights of the day are an open-air cinema in a thermal bath, big Annecy-winner «Calamity», and a superb GIF selection.

Children and families

  • It all starts at 10am in the cinema Trafo 3 with the special programme «Kids for Kids», in which the youngsters showcase their wonderful ideas and talent in self-made films.
  • Additionally, the two «Kids Film Competitions» are screened one after the other in the cinema Trafo 2 starting from 12:45pm.
  • Those who prefer the feature format can watch the incredibly sweet Ernest & Célestine about a friendship between mouse and bear in the cinema Trafo 3 at noon.
  • Immediately afterwards, at 1.45pm in the same cinema, a little girl finds herself in the middle of political turmoil shortly before the fall of the Berlin Wall in «Fritzi – eine Wendewundergeschichte».
  • At 6pm the little witch Kiki enchants audiences with her tender coming-of-age story in «Kiki’s Delivery Service» in the cinema Orient.

Feature films

  • The big winner of this year’s Annecy festival «Calamity, une enfance de Martha Jane Cannary» is shown at 3.45pm in the cinema Trafo 1. In fantastic images and with a lot of energy, director Rémi Chayé tells of the childhood of «Calamity Jane».
  • Things get weird in «On-Gaku: Our Sound» in the cinema Trafo 3 at 10:45pm. Three high school students form a rock group, even though none of them knows how to actually play an instrument.

Special programmes

  • For those who wish to enjoy the nice weather and still don’t wanto to miss out on a cinematic experience, we recommend the open-air screening in the thermal bath «Bagno Popolare» at 9pm. We show the zany anime «Lu Over the Wall».
  • For a few years now, the GIF programme has been an integral part of Fantoche. Known artists and new talents show in «GIF Gifts for You» at 9.30pm in the Rampe what you can achieve with this extremely short format.
