Studio Presentation: Beast Animation
We have a studio presentation at 14:15 at Trafo 3! Ben Tesseur and Steven de Beul founded their studio Beast Animation in 2004, and have since directed and produced a diverse range of stop-motion projects, including “Ce magnifique gâteau!” and “Panique au village” (screened at Fantoche in 2018 and 2019). Their most recent project and technical milestone “Coppelia” combines classical ballet with animation.
Meet the Artist: Adriaan Lokman
Meet The Artist: Adriaan Lokman will take place at 16:15 at Trafo 3. His creative work includes time-based, linear, interacitve and cross-media projects. His award-winning shorts «Barcode», «Chase» and «Flow» challenge the boundaries between abstraction, reality and narrative. He is currently working on a VR version of “Flow” and on his cross-media project «Timeshells».
Let’s Talk: Film and War
Come to Rampe at 18:00 and join the discussion about the interactions of film and war. How have conflicts past and present influenced creativity? What role does film play in war and the depiction of war? We will also discuss the different functions of film such as education, processing, entertainment and manipulation.

The presentation of the shortlist and the awarding of the best commissioned animations in Switzerland in conjuction with SWISS FILM ASSOCIATION will take place at 18:00 at Kino Sterk 1. There will also be a studio presention of Beast Animation followed by drinks
