Fantoche wants your GIF

Fantoche wants the best animated GIFs for a special programme. Digital micro animations are experiencing a real renaissance, even though the GIF was invented back in 1987. Thanks to smartphones, the short sequences of images on an endless loop are becoming increasingly popular. As the most important animation film festival in Switzerland, Fantoche is also a venue for the industry and visual artists with different backgrounds, be it animation, game design, illustration or graphic design. “GIF is for Geeks” is curated out of the submissions and will be presented on the big screen together with live produced electronic music. All the GIF producers are invited to submit their best GIF to Fantoche by 30 June 2015.
