Daniel Šuljić

Daniel Šuljić was born in Zagreb in 1997 and graduated in painting/animation at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna (master class Attersee). He is a lecturer for animation at different art universities as Kunstuni Linz and ALU Zagreb. In 2006 he was given the title of honorary professor at Jilin College of the Arts Animation School, in Changchun, China. 2010 – 2012, he was artistic consultant for animated film at Croatian Audiovisual Center „HAVC“. Since 2011 Šuljić is artistic director of the „World festival of animated films Animafest“ Zagreb, since 2013 member of the artistic council for film at City of Zagreb. Šuljić is also an animation filmmaker, a DJ, Illustrator and sound designer and musician. His films were shown at numerous international and national (animation) film festivals and on different TV stations in Europe. He earned 20 awards so far and was a member of various international festival competition juries. Šuljić currently lives and works in Zagreb and Vienna.
