Elie Chapuis

Elie Chapuis (*1980) was born in Lausanne, Switzerland and studied animation at the EMCA, in Angoulême, France. He made his first steps on “Max & Co” by Sam and Fréd Guillaume. Since then, he has worked as an animator, mainly in stop motion animation, his favourite technique. His collaboration on feature films include Wes Anderson’s “Fantastic Mr Fox” and “Isle of Dogs”; as a close collaborator of Claude Barras, he has worked on most of his short films as well as on “Ma vie de Courgette”. Since 2011, he is one of the partners of the studio Hélium Film in Lausanne, where he produced and directed several short films including his debut film “Imposteur”.
