Mirko Winkel

Mirko Winkel was born in the former GDR and lives in Zurich. He studied fine arts at the HBK Braunschweig. His works have been shown at the Berlinale, the House of World Cultures, the Konzert Theater Bern and the Istanbul Biennale, among others. Meiffert and Winkel conceived «Art in the Underground» (2020/21), the competition for art in Berlin’s urban space, and are curating the bathing culture project «Learning from Bathing» (2021-22).
